Ceremony Year (2012)

Movies Came Out In (2011)

Winner:

The Artist – Wow, this was not my cup of tea.  When I first started watching, I was like, “wow, a talkie???”.  I kept waiting for it to get better, and then the ending, I was like WTF.  I watched only b/c it won this award.

The Descendants – Hated it.  Boring.

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close – Hated it.  Way too long.

The Help – Loved it.  Didn’t watch for a long time b/c I didn’t think I was going to like it.  I was wrong, loved it.

Hugo – Watched with a child (mine, lol).  She didn’t like it, neither did I.

Midnight in Paris – Surprisingly liked this movie, just a simple story, thought it was worth watching.  I enjoyed it for what it was.

Moneyball – I’m a baseball fan, this movie was not that exciting/interesting.  Acting was good.  I’m not sure how you make baseball statistics exciting, and neither did the director of this film.

The Tree of Life – What was this?  It was beyond awful.  One of the worst “movies” I’ve ever seen.  Couldn’t even tell you what it was supposed to be about after watching it.  Pitt, Chastain, and Penn must have owed someone a huge favor because this film was beyond pathetic.

War Horse – Good flick, exciting/interesting enough.  Worth watching.
