Ceremony Year (2011)

Movies Came Out In (2010)

Winner:

The King’s Speech – Loved it.  Great story, fantastic acting.

127 Hours – It was “okay”.  True story, sort of interesting, definitely remarkable.  Not something I’d watch again.

Black Swan – Really disliked.  Thought it was way too long.  Kind of gross at times.  I guess if that’s your world, your opinion might be different than mine.

The Fighter – It was alright.  Again, thought it was a little too long, not a great pay off.

Inception – Have watched this flick about 3 times, just to try and understand it better.  I liked it, don’t get me wrong.  But I think it’s so complicated that multiple viewing help sort it all out.

The Kids Are All Right – Interesting story, held my curiosity.  I laughed, I cried, I thought it was worth watching.

The Social Network – Meh.  Since I’m in the tech field, I’m probably jaded, but I thought it was stupid and unnecessary.

Toy Story 3 – Amazing.  Animation and incredible story.  I’m always surprised how much an animated film can make me emotional.

True Grit – Whatever.  Why remake the movie just to tell the same story.  Actually, as I typed this, I changed my mind, I hated it.

Winter’s Bone – Worst movie of them all, totally sucked.  Do. Not. Waste. Your. Time.

Brian’s Winner:

Tie between The King’s Speech and Toy Story 3.  I can live with The King’s Speech taking home the prize
